Black Urn |
This vase has a rich black glaze on it with a decorative overlay of
a zirconium white glaze and a gray glaze. This is Stoneware clay, fired
in a slightly reducing atmosphere to 2425°F (1310°C). It is
a large form suitable for long stemmed flowers.
It is functional
as a flower vase, and has a classical Oriental shape. May also stand
alone as an "art piece".
Orders taken if this one is sold. Though no two pieces will fire out exactly the same, this glaze is very similar from firing to firing. |
